Pewter is an alloy consisting of mostly tin and it is the fourth most precious metal. It also has very small amounts of antimony and copper which is added

mainly for strength and/or colour. 

The Antique Pewter finish is usually nickel plating on brass which has been dulled and darkened to simulate pewter. This may also be referred to as pewter or antique nickel. 

The Tepak Sireh carries values and important meanings in Malay tradition. It is usually used as an equipment in Malay formal ceremonies. During Malay wedding ceremonies, Tepak Sireh is an important gift, usually given to the couple by one of the family members. It signified good luck and prosperity.

 This Tepak Sireh is made from highly polished fine Malaysian pewter.
